FUN IN STINKY SHOES

Stella had school off today. It was a special day where only Kindergarten was off, so I thought it would be the perfect day to use our passes to do some bowling. It was pretty empty and quiet, just how we like it. Stella did pretty good and was beating me a lot of the time. She did have the bumpers, but who cares? After the first game she started to try actually putting her fingers in the ball and throwing it down the lane. It was pretty cute and we had a fun time together. Though I do have to say: I don't get what a professional bowler must see in this sport. Maybe if you don't have to pay real money to wear absolutely disgusting shoes, it isn't as bad? Maybe...

HAMMER TIME

On Saturday morning, Stella and I went to Lowe's for their "Build and Grow" program. They let kids come and build a project for free. I didn't know what it would be like (perhaps wild and crazy), but it was fun. It was loud...lots of little hammers banging away, but we were finished before my headache got too bad. Stella was really proud of her heart box project. We also did a Monster's, Inc. project. She got pretty good with a hammer, but I have to say I am relieved that neither of us had our fingers crushed.
