PORTER TURNS FIVE

I was just looking through old pictures of baby Porter when I used to watch him twice a week. I will always have a fondness for that kid because of that special time we shared together. This year on his birthday September 14th we gathered and celebrated year five of his life. It was a nice little evening at his house.

I had bought him truly what I thought was the lamest gift but he loved it. He loved all his gifts. My favorite memory was him walking around the circle after opening them and giving everyone special hugs. We learned recently that Porter has a special fondness for Brent, which honestly surprised all of us since Brent doesn't try that hard to be a favorite. But perhaps that is what Porter is attracted to the most. I don't remember Porter's words exactly but they were along the lines of  "We are going to see Uncle Brent? He's the coolest guy I know."

When Courtney brought the cake up to Porter with lit candles Porter blew them out before we even finished the word "Happy" in the Happy Birthday song. It was awesome as it just meant he got to blow them all out again.

PRINCESS LOUISE

Little Louise turned 3 year. Her mother and father hosted a princess birthday party on September 12th for all the little girls in her life and princess dress was encouraged. I don't have a princess dress so I dressed up as Minnie and Stella as Alice while Vivi looked magnificent as Belle. It was a wild little party and I just tried to sit back and relax as the chaos was going on around me. Each of the girls were able to look for glass slippers and Vivi loved hers. Vivi also just loved having an excuse to dress up...just like her mother. It was pretty cute how Vivien and Louise were wearing the same dress. They get along pretty good those two and I hope they can always be close cousin friends.

BACK IN BUSINESS

It was an easy transition for little Vivien this year since she went back to the same dance and the same school as last year. She was so excited for dance on September 4th. She picked her whole outfit from head to toe. And the poses? Those were all her as well.

The next day was September 5th and it was her first day of preschool, and her second year at Children's Discovery. She had new teachers, but the place was familiar and she was excited to go back.
