PORTLAND

Last week was crazy. I was in Idaho Falls for this year's Mayor's Scholarship on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then Thursday morning Stella and I woke up early and drove home, and then I caught a flight out that evening to Portland to shoot Christy's brother's wedding on Friday. 

Friday was a beautiful day. It was almost hot by spring standards. The day was full and busy and by the end of it, Christy, Em and I were all tuckered out.

Saturday we planned to spend a easy day walking around downtown Portland. Do you want to know the very best thing about Oregon? No sales tax on anything! So of course we went shopping. (I didn't make any extravagant purchases, although I did try.) We also had a lovely patio lunch and walked through town and to the waterfront. We really wore out baby Em.

That night was the night we had crazies staying across the hall from us in our hotel. It was seriously a nightmare, and nothing like that has ever happened to me. So of course it took me days to catch up from not getting much sleep that night after having had such a go-go-go week. Stella was super glad to have me home and cherished her two gifts from her momma.
