OUR LITTLE LOTTIE LU TURNS TWO

It was fun to celebrate Miss Lottie turning two. She is such a spunky little light in our lives and we love her. Don't worry, after Porter blew out her candles she got to blow them out twice because I needed to video and take pictures. Special thanks to Courtney who hid one cupcake in the microwave for me so I wouldn't have to fight all of her nephews who spent the first part of the party licking off all of the frosting off all of the cupcakes. Lottie's birthday is November 3rd, but we celebrated on the 5th.

PIANO STAR

Stella is fearless on stage, except when she has to play the piano. She seems to really hate piano recitals. I'm always so proud of her. I love how dedicated she is to the songs and then how well she executes her piece even though she is terrified. This piece was no different. She played "At Last I've Seen The Light" from Tangled.

HALLOWEEN 2018

Valerie had talked to me about coming up for a little visit over Halloween so that the cousins could trick or treat together. I loved the idea but of course we already planed the trip to Disneyland. Still, I thought I would have enough time to get home and get ready for guests so I was all in for a visit. I didn't realize how late our flight out of California was and so by the time we got home we only had about an hour to get ready for everyone to come over for trick or treating. Usually, Halloween is a big photo shoot time for me and I'll make sure to get the kids dressed early so that I can take their pictures but this year we didn't have time. Because we had just worn these costumes at Disneyland I wasn't that worried about it, and I just tried to focus on having fun with all of the cousins together. Stella and Vivi both wanted to wear their Alice in Wonderland costume so I was the lone Minnie Mouse. It was fine, I looked adorable.

Everyone pretty much stayed together at the beginning of trick-or-treating but Christian took off running and pretty soon the bigger kids were running way ahead of the little kids. I was expecting this so it didn't really bother me very much.

The highlight of the evening for me was when we went to one of my neighbor's house where they really get excited about Halloween. They had a skeleton that would pop up and speakers all set up so that the skeleton would talk to you. The skeleton said hello to Vivien, and it totally freaked her out. Not because a skeleton was talking to her, but she said she was surprised that he knew her name because she did look like Vivi, she looked like the queen of hearts. "I no look same. I queen of hearts."

Our grand finale of the evening was when we heard a knock at the door and it was Ava and Finn coming to trick-or-treat at our house! It was the year they were supposed to be with their dad and so we didn't get to trick-or-treat with them like we have in year's past. It was so fun to see them both!
