LUAU BABE BIRTHDAY PARTY

Each year since Stella has been old enough I have let her pick her birthday party theme. The only thing I usually don't give her a choice on is food, since she never eats at her parties anyway. This year I made the best decision of my life and had Cafe Rio cater the party and also had them deliver. It was awesome--that way I didn't have to stay at home all day making food, and we were able to have a fun day at Lagoon with Ava for a few hours instead. As for the theme, we went a bit overboard this year because we found our decorations at the dollar store, which meant that we were able to buy even more decor than usual. The luau theme was pretty fun, and I have to admit that putting these parties together with Stella before is one of my favorite parts.

Right as everyone was arriving there was suddenly this wild windstorm. I was annoyed because our signs weren't staying up and it was so dark. But thankfully as everyone was enjoying their Cafe Rio, the clouds moved on and we were able to hang outside.

Stella had a great time. She had tons of little people to play with and looked adorable. Vivi was no slacker either. Every single time I got a look at her in her mini grass skirt my heart got all warm and fuzzy. We opened gifts and then everyone got to enjoy one of Michelle's famous cupcakes. It was such a fun night with family and friends.

As for Stella getting older and turning nine? Obviously I hate it. Each year she has been a complete joy and this has been a big year for her. Watching her become an amazing big sister to Vivi has been something really wonderful in my life. My world wouldn't be the same without her, and I'm sure everyone that knows her feels the same.
