MARY POPPINS

This past weekend saw the long anticipated night of Heidi's performance as Miss Bossy Pants Mary Poppins. And as I am sure you can imagine...she was just perfectly perfect in every way. My mom drove up with Stella and I, and let me tell you that someone (Stella) was so excited for the play. I am surprised she even took time to go swimming at my mom's hotel beforehand because she was so thrilled.

We arrived early to the theater and I took some backstage shots of our little star.

Finally it was time for the show. Stella has never been to a play type of performance and I am not sure what she was expecting, but she loved it. She sat on Grammie's lap the entire time so she could see better. Her adorable face was all smiles the whole time. My favorite comments were: "I love this movie!" "There is Mary!" and "Heidi REALLY knows this song."

No surprise, Heidi was dazzling on stage. I felt kind of bad for the little dancers in the show because she kind of stole the spotlight the entire time she was on stage. Catcher was also part of the production. He was a penguin and a jockey while Mary and Burt enjoyed a Jolly Holiday.

At the end of the show we were all so proud, and Stella could barely contain her excitement to see the star of the show. Heidi had a lot of fans since I think most of the theater was full of people that she knew who wanted to see her perform. It was so fun watching her greet all of her fans.

After it was all quiet Heidi wanted to get some pictures in her white dress so we took a few more. Everyone was over taking pictures, but Heidi and I didn't care. That night we had dinner with the star and her little family at Arctic Circle. It made for a late night for Stella. We spent the night with my mom at the hotel and she was down in a flash, dreaming about dancing penguins and talented aunties.
