IDAHO SNOW

We made our annual winter trek up to Idaho on January 10th. It became a very snow filled weekend. The weather report was clear and sunny, but right before we were supposed to go a storm was now coming through. I didn't know what to do. Cy had a game on Thursday and that was one of the main reasons we wanted to get up there on Thursday. After going back and forth on what we should do I just got the feeling like we should leave and so we did and the weather was fine. I mean it wasn't great but it wasn't bad on the roads and we actually made it up there in record time, and we had plenty of time to get to the game. On Friday the kids hung out and played in the snow. Vivi really wanted to build a snowman, but the snow was too icy so you couldn't make one. But the had fun anyway.

Saturday Wyn had a game and then we went over to a park and went sledding. Vivi LOVED it. It is amazing how much that girl loves the snow. Stella had the best time with her boys and they went up and down the hill so many times. I also didn't have a horrible time. There were angels watching us though. Heidi and I decided to try going from the top of the hill and all of the sudden we realized we were headed straight for this pole. I only had time to bend my head in a bit and hope for the best. I am sure we went straight through that thing. Seriously, all of the kids thought that we were for sure going to hit it and at the very last second it felt like something moved us out of harms way. If I had hit my  head at the speed we were going, I would have had a serious injury. It was monumental to me at the time because I was still dealing with the constant feeling like something bad was going to happen to me. And I realized I must have some angels on my side keeping me safe as needed. The whole thing didn't alleviate my fear of sledding, but in the end we had some good memories.

Saturday night we went to another basketball game to watch Cy be a Varsity basketball star. We are really proud of him and it is fun and stressful to watch him play.

We left that Sunday and headed back home, and another great weekend with the Gummows was in the books.
